Our Community Garden

Avista employees, known as the Green Thumbs, have transformed an unused piece of property on the Mission campus into a community garden. The fresh produce from the garden benefits vulnerable populations with limited access to such nutritious food. One such recipient of the Green Thumbs’ hard work is the Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant. Every year, hundreds of pounds of produce are donated to the Women’s and Children’s Free Restaurant to provide healthy meals for needy families in the Spokane area.
