Hydropower

Avista Corp. owns and operates eight hydroelectric developments on the Clark Fork and Spokane rivers. Together, these facilities generate enough electricity to satisfy the needs of 300,000 homes. That means that hydropower provides about 60 percent of the total electrical energy used by our customers.
