Energy is part of our everyday lives—something many of
us take for granted. But as the demand for energy continues
to increase, along with our population and number of community
businesses, Avista wants to ensure we’re meeting the demand
as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.
We’ve experienced tremendous growth in our region over the past
decade. Along with population and community growth, we’ve seen
an increase in electronics and appliance use. A typical household
now has computers, cell phones, television sets, and many other
technical or electronic gadgets—and all of them use energy.
To ensure we approach our energy future responsibly, and with
as many different options as possible, Avista is committed to
continuing our historical approach to energy efficiency programs
and looking into new ways to leverage technology and alternative
energy resources.
